Woah, how did a month fly-by so fast?! There are so many things going on that I want to tell you about: we visited London, we finally got our belongings from America, I went on a week long European tour with some friends, we’re now going to 2 different Olympic events, so many things! I will be trying my darnedest to catch-up in the next month. For now, I’m going to finally complete a post I started a month ago; it’s nothing big, just a little something I wanted to share. Sometimes you need to appreciate the little quirks & coincidences in life.
To start, you need to know my history with Henry’s. The hubs was named after his grandfathers, so Henry is his middle name. It’s pretty cute! He also can be a bit of a stinker, so one day, I’m telling him to stop being so ornery. He quips back, “I can’t. It’s my middle name, Henri!” – pronounced as the French version of Henry. We’ve always had a good chuckle about that.
Next, when we got our sweet pup, we knew we wanted him to be Little Jack. I dubbed him Jackson; he would, of course, at some point need a grown-up name. Plus, we had to register him as something with the AKC, and it sounded more official. We soon discovered that Little Jack could be a bit ornery himself, so he just had to be a Henry, too – Jackson Henry.
Now, I live with two Henry’s who can be quite a handful sometimes. Maybe that will help you understand why I was so tickled with this little guy:
Our sweet landlady told us she would bring us her extra vacuum to use while we’ve been waiting for our stuff, and here came this little guy. They’re apparently quite popular over here because the classic Henry now has all kinds of friends: Hetty, Harry, James, Charles, & George. It’s really quite adorable. Although, he looks a bit mischievous, Henry has been very well behaved. A Henry to clean up after my other Henry’s. Another Henry I get to drag around the house. I’m just waiting for Sam to misbehave, so I can tell him that he sucks more than Little Henry.
Alright, enough of that. Like I said, it’s sometimes fun to revel in the little things life gives you. More updates soon!
